How the Name of United Christians Liberty Evangelical Church was discovered
While I was on my way back to Minnesota from California after the crusade in Spring 1986, I was wondering
what name should represent our corporation if I establish it up? In years ahead, I wrote “Jesus Church” on
every record of my sermon folders and carrying it around each time I went to evangelise. Later I realized that
many people might misunderstand that I am affiliated with the Latter Day Saint or Latter Day saint of Jesus
Christ. My wife and I prayed for the name on our way home for more then ten times before we reach the
Twin City, Minnesota. In my tongue of prayer, I always receive revelation or get answer from the Lord at
each time when I pray. But this time there is not a sign at all.
During the spring 1987 I held a church leadership training in Fresno, California. One day after the session is
over, I took the car key out of my pocket and wanted to drive back to the mobile where my temporary stay
was at. Suddenly the bad thunderstorm is coming and I had to stay inside the house until the thunderstorm
is over. Shortly after the thunderstorm was just over while the clouds were clearing the sky was so blue up
there. I took the car key out of my pocket again and drove back to the mobile home. Water is running
everywhere even the road is full with clear water because of hard raining. The higher dirt were starting to
dry out and all the green grass and the flowers are appearing for the shinning of the sun. I came to a four
way stop street. I stop and look around if there is a car passing by from each direction of the street. The air
is so flesh at that moment and I saw the beautiful mountains surrounding far away from the City of Fresno.
The moment was so fresh and perfect I looked up to see what intersection where I stop at. The streets was
“Church” and “Liberty.” When I saw the signs I realized that the sun was shining above the two signs
spreading their rays towards me. I did not think of anything at all. All of a sudden a voice spoke very softly
within my heart saying, “The Name!” I was stunned. I questioned myself, “What name?” Spontaneously, I
remembered that I have been waiting and praying for a name for this Church Corporation for a so long now.
At that time, I felt so delighted and as if a load of burden was lifted swiftly off my back. While I proceeding to
cross the intersection I turn my head and look at the both sigh of the streets for the second time again then
heading to the mobile home.
Since then, I understood that the named of this Church Corporation should be called "The United Christians
Liberty Evangelical Church" like the streets “Church” and “Liberty” had intersected. The intersection of these
two streets represents the unity of the congregation in forming this corporation.
I was wondered that because many year had passed by, I come back and looking for these streets I wanted
to trace them just like in the time I discover the name of this Corporation and I could not find them
intersecting as when the time I saw it last several year ago. There was the only vision God shown the name
of the Church to me.
